Make a Difference – Become a Mentor
We are currently looking for volunteers to mentor children and young people who are engaged in our Ar Trac Project in Neath and Bridgend.
The aim of the mentoring programme is to increase a child’s self-esteem, encouraging a change in the way children and young people view themselves and others and helping them find a safe way to express themselves, whilst always focusing on the positives.
We have currently recruited a new member of staff within the Ar Trac team who was an Ar Trac mentor, and she explains that “Mentoring a young person through the Ar Trac program was a highlight of my time at university. I loved having the opportunity to support a young person and see their confidence grow as we spent time doing activities together in the community.”
