Sexual Violence Support Worker Vacancy – Pembrokeshire
Calan DVS are recruiting for a Sexual Violence Support Worker (SVSW) based in Haverford West, Pembrokeshire.
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2025
Hours: 18 hours spread over Mon-Fri (to be discussed at interview)
Salary: £21,000 per annum
Location: Haverford West. Pembrokeshire

Purpose of the Role
The Lotus Project is a therapeutic support service within Calan DVS that has been co-produced with survivors and stakeholders. Our service has been implemented to support individuals who are accessing Calan Domestic Abuse services and who have also experienced Sexual Violence.
The service operates from a trauma informed, strengths-based perspective in order to ensure each survivor has consistent yet individualised support throughout their recovery journey.
Each survivor who accesses the service will have the opportunity to receive specialist support through our Sexual Violence Counselling service, tailor made group work program and one to one support. Survivors will have regular strength-based goal setting sessions with their Sexual Violence Support Worker.
Consultations and collaborative working are at the heart of working in a trauma informed way, therefore The Lotus Project will continue to be developed alongside the support staff and survivors who access the service.
About You
You will have experience of working from a strengths-based perspective with survivors of sexual violence. With this, you will be empathetic and passionate about finding creative, holistic ways to support the individual recovery journeys of those effected by sexual abuse.
Within this role, you must be able to thrive in a collaborative team environment and understand that the survivors we support, the team you are in and the service itself are all working together on a journey to develop a truly trauma informed service.
