The Intervention Hub

Intervention Hub - Open to both Male and Females in Mid and West Wales who are displaying/concerned about their behaviour towards their partner or a loved one.

This programme is an online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based intervention that supports individuals helps people to tackle problem thinking and behaviour.

 

Through online learning (10 sessions) and session reviews with a facilitator the men can explore:

  • Healthy Relationships
  • Unhelpful Beliefs
  • Male “Privilege”
  • Minimising, Blaming and Denial
  • Intimidation
  • Using Threats
  • Economical Abuse
  • Using Children
  • Using isolation

 

Through online learning (10 sessions) and session reviews with a facilitator the women can explore:

  • Healthy Relationships
  • Recognising and addressing Unhelpful beliefs
  • Avoiding the use of Violence/Safeguarding against Violence
  • Minimising, denying and blaming
  • Avoiding the use of Intimidation
  • Avoiding the use of Threats and Pressure
  • Avoiding the use of Isolation
  • The Ripple Effect: Acknowledging Impact
  • Dealing with Anger effectively

What is the background the Domestic Abuse Hub?

The Intervention Hub has been developed by a team of probation professionals in consultation with a Clinical Psychologist. Our programmes are primarily based on utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but they also incorporate other theoretical models including:

  • Mindfulness
  • Desistance Theory
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Cycle of Change
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Pro-Social Modelling.
