Powys Wellbeing Event
“Thank you so much for inviting me along to the well being day. It reminded me why I loved yoga so much before refuge, it’s just been difficult finding time for it here, but being able to get out and do it was amazing, I had obviously been storing up a lot of stress and emotion within my body and I felt I was able to release this on the well being day.
It was lovely to be able to take some time out for myself. All this time u have been working around the kids and putting their needs first that I had almost lost a sense that actually I’m important too.
It was also lovely to meet other women from the other refuges. There was a silent knowing amongst everyone that we just got each other and understood each other. We were all there for the same reason and going through the same kind of pain. I was almost too anxious to go because I knew other refuges would be there but I’m so glad I didn’t let that stop me.
The buffet was lovely and varied and catered for different allergies/sensitivities. And I loved that there was plenty of snacks and tea/coffee in between.
The well being part opened my eyes to the fact that it is actually kind of impossible to have so much to juggle with everyday and not take time out for yourself. I loved the oils she had in the background with the diffuser. The atmosphere felt calm. It also made me think about how I can bring a bit of this into my everyday life to help better regulate myself so I can continue to juggle so much everyday without getting run down.
Generally an amazing relaxing time out day for me which I believe is vital for women going through the experiences I am currently going through. There was so much to benefit from attending.
Thank you so much.”
