Purpose of the Role
Calan DVS are looking for a CYP support worker to join their Ar Trac team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to Children and Young People in the Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend area.
It is estimated that 133,053 children in Wales have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse. These adverse childhood experiences can have a huge impact on children and young people, but referral options are limited due to specialist CYP support available.

Ar Trac supports children and young people who are exhibiting difficulties with their family and peer relationships, having experienced domestic abuse. We are recruiting an experienced CYP worker for our Ar Trac Calan DVS team.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field ie youth and community work, child or social care, health or education OR equivalent experience in a related discipline.
Expereince of working with vulnerable children and/or young people who have witnessed domestic abuse. Proven experience of liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies.
Experience of engaging families in needs assessment, risk assessment and safety planning.
Expereince of working with and developing support activities including group work with children and young people.
