Purpose of the Role
Calan DVS are looking for a CYP support worker to join their Ar Trac team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to Children and Young People in the Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend area.
It is estimated that 133,053 children in Wales have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse. These adverse childhood experiences can have a huge impact on children and young people, but referral options are limited due to specialist CYP support available.
To address this need, Calan DVS, Cyfannol Women’s Aid, Cardiff Women’s Aid, Gorwel and West Wales DAS have come together to deliver the Ar Trac project to children aged 5 – 16 across 10 counties in Wales, thanks to funding from Welsh Government.
Ar Trac supports children and young people who are exhibiting difficulties with their family and peer relationships, having experienced domestic abuse. We are recruiting an experienced CYP worker for our Ar Trac Calan DVS team.
