Calan DVS are recruiting for a Services Development Manager – Sexual Violence Services – an exciting new position funded via Welsh Women’s Aid Sector Strength Funding Grant.

Contract: Initial 12 Months with possible extension
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Salary: £26,000 to £28,00 depending on experience
Location: Neath
Application closing date: Friday, 27 May 2022

Purpose of the Role

  • The Service Development Manager will be joining Calan at a pivotal stage as we work towards launching our new service to support victims of sexual violence and abuse via The Lotus Project.
  • This key role is responsible and accountable to the Chief Executive. The post holder will work closely with the Chief Executive and Operations Manager to lead and support the development of a high-quality service forvictims of sexual violence and abuse.
  • The Service Development Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development of practices within the sexual violence service alongside sector experts and ensuring the highest standard of services are delivered to clients based on risk, need and choice.
  • This post holder will also support the Chief Executive to raise the profile of Calan as a leading sector expert and a provider of high-quality victim and survivor services.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate the following key knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience:
• Minimum two years’ experience in working with victims of sexual violence.
• A recognised domestic abuse or sexual violence accreditation or demonstrable practical knowledge of relevant roles (including IDVA, Outreach, ISVA etc.)
• A proven track record of frontline work in relation to domestic abuse and sexual violence including risk assessment, needs assessment and safety planning.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding criteria and referral process.
• Demonstrable experience of Programme management.
